Love the idea behind this plugin but I would much rather have the ability to click on a REPLY button within the commenting area that allows me to reply to a specific comment. In fact, I think it would be cool if the plugin worked exactly like this one except instead of replying to all, I could have the option of only applying to the comment in which the REPLY link is displayed, just like a forum.

Is there anyway you could change the plugin to perform those functions?

Unfortunately there isn’t to be a away of adding a reply automatically to every post. This is something that a theme would be better suited to not a plugin. Sorry, but there is plans on adding this functionality, this is a generic plugin designed to work with all themes.

I’ve managed to hack your plugin in order to get it to perform the way I wanted it to with one small exception. The REPLYNEW link seems to only appear for me and not for anyone else. Is there anyway to make the REPLY link available for the public to use instead of logged in users only.

And by the way, would there be anyway to throw all of this code within this plugin into a one line php function that I can add anywhere in my comment.php file so it would show up as the REPLY NEW link. That would give users the greatest ease of use as far as where they would be able to display the link.

This was designed for a particular task, you seem to want something completely different, I don’t think this is the plug-in you’re looking for.

I went to the plugin section and activated your wp easy reply plugin, and I don’t see anything under my comment box that will let people reply to each others comments. There is no link that says reply to this comment or reply link. Could you please explain to me what is possibly wrong.

    Thanks

Easy reply was designed for the Author of the post to reply on mass to comments, giving commenter’s the ability to reply on mass would be questionable. Only the author would see the reply link. If you are logged in and the author and it still doesn’t appear, I would need to know more to diagnose the problem.

Just wanted to say thanks for this plugin. I’ve been using it for a few months now (came here to check v.2.0!) and it made my life much easier!

    Good job!
